My interest in weaving began as a student at Camberwell school of art where I stumbled across the weave workshop and fell in love with the looms.

After my degree, seeking adventure and a change of scene, I went to Paris to hone my skills in woven textiles at L’ANAT (l’Atelier National d’Art Textile). Over the next 25 years, I went on to teach at l’Ensci (l’École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle) and set up a workshop, producing one-off scarves and accessories for the collectors’ market.

After moving back to the UK, I settled into a new home and workshop in north London. I taught at Winchester School of Art for 6 years and am now the specialist weave technician at the Royal College of Art and an associate lecturer at Central Saint Martins.

I also design collections of samples for Dash & Miller, sell woven art work through The New Craftsmen and work on special commissions.
